Iranian Guardian Council delegation to visit Pakistan on 16-20

ISLAMABAD—A six-member delegation from Guardian Council of Islamic Republic of Iran led by Ayatullah Ahmad Janati, head of the Guardian Council, would be visiting Pakistan on May 16-20.
The delegation will arrive here on invitation of the Council of Islamic Idealogy (CII) to discuss contemporary challenges being faced by Muslim Ummah.
The Guardian Council of Islamic Republic of Iran is a powerful body with vast legislative and executive jurisdictions. It holds the status of Senate and is authorized to examine all Parliamentary decisions as to their consistency with the tenets of Islam and Constitutional law. The delegation with call on the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Speaker National Assembly, Chief Justices of Supreme Court and Federal Shariat Court.
