Zardari, Nawaz on verge to part ways

LONDON: Talks on the controversial issue of restoration of deposed between the two coalition leaders, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and PML-N Chief Nawaz failed to make headway and remain stick to their divisive stands on the embroiling issue. While talking to mediamen, Nawaz Sharif said that will announce his future course of action on 12th May and until that time his bound to stick to 12th May deadline on restoration of judges agreed with Asif Ali Zardari....

Akhtar Mengal released from jail

KARACHI—Former chief minister Balochistan, Sardar Akhtar Mengal made his way out of the hospital after his release order issued by the court. Sindh Interior Minister Zulifiqar Mirza carrying the release order arrived at the hospital, where Mengal was under medical treatment. Akhtar Mengal was shifted to Karachi jail on December 24, 2006. Oil passes $126 on Venezuela concerns

NEW YORK—Oil rose above $126 a barrel for the first time Friday, bringing its advance this week to nearly $10, as investors questioned whether a possible confrontation between the U.S. and Venezuela could cut exports from the OPEC member. Gas prices, meanwhile, rose above an average $3.67 a gallon at the pump, following oil’s recent path higher.  On Friday, The Wall Street Journal published a report that suggested closer ties between Venezuelan ....
