20 profiteers fined

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration on Tuesday imposed fines amounting Rs. 4000 on 20 profiteers for not displaying rate list of food items. Assistant Commissioner ICT Capt (R) Shebaz conducted price checking in the rural areas of Bara Kahu, Tarlai and Khana Dak and imposed fine worth Rs. 4000 on 20 profiteers for overcharging. ICT Administration also sent trucks loaded with flour in the city and rural areas on Tuesday for providing Atta at the lower rates. The service was provided at Aabpara,G 9 and I 10 sector too. However, since 20kg Atta bags were available in sufficient quantity in the markets at the rate of Rs. 370, therefore, sale through trucks remained very low and only 25 to 30 bags were sold and remaining Atta bags were returned unpurchased.—Online
