Akram Shaheedi new Secretary Information

ISLAMABAD—M. Akram Shaheedi, a senior officer of Information Service Group, assumed his charge as Acting Secretary Information and Broadcasting here on Tuesday.
Prior to his new assignment he was posted as Minister Press at Washington where he served for two years. Before that he successfully performed responsibilities of Principal Information Officer (PIO) for three years and twice served as Director General Public Relations with the government of Punjab at Lahore.
During his distinguished career, Shaheedi held important positions and served diligently in different capacities earning reputation of being honest and dedicated officer of the Information Service Group. He joined the Information Group in 1975.
Mrs. Rizwan Khan, a BS-20 officer of Information Group has been appointed Tuesday as Director General/Principal Information Officer in her own pay and scale with immediate effect and until further orders.
