Maulana Aziz granted bail in four cases
By Saad Saud

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad High Court here Monday accepted bail application of Maulana Abdul Aziz and Maulana Abdul Qayyum in four criminal cases. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam and Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan heard the bail plea of former administrator of Lal Mosque.
Counsel for the appellant, Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, argued that four cases of serious nature framed against Maulana which pertained to abduction of Chinese nationals, rangers’ shooting, abduction of law enforcement personnel on duty and terrorism against state were baseless, lacking evidence.
He cited that in one of FIR, it was mentioned that Maulana Abdul Aziz instigated students of seminary to attack law enforcement personnel, set on fire government building and target rangers.
