Bail plea of Maulana Abdul Aziz accepted

ISLAMABAD—Federal High Court (FHC) Islamabad has accepted bail plea of Maulana Abdul Aziz former Khateeb of Lal Masjid in four major cases.
Bail has been granted to Maulana Abdul Aziz in 15 out of 27 cases Maulana Abdul Aziz had filed bail applications in FHC in 4 major cases including kidnapping of police personnel, firing on rangers and kidnapping of Chinese girls.
A 2-member bench of FHC led by chief justice Sardar Muhammad Aslam and comprising justice (Retd) Saeed Akram took up the case for hearing.
Hashmat Habib and Akbar counsels for Maulana Abdul Aziz argued Maulana Abdul Aziz had no relevance with these cases nor was he involved in them.. Therefore, their bail plea be accepted, they pleaded.
The FHC granting bail to Maulana Abdul Aziz in the four cases directed him to furnish surety of Rs 500000.
