MSA, Customs seize foreign liquor

KARACHI—The staff of Maritime Security Agency and Pakistan Customs, Anti-Smuggling Organization, Model Collectorate of Customs Preventive, Karachi, foiled an attempt to smuggle huge quantity of foreign liquor. In a joint sea operation they seized two launches laden with 10,933 whisky bottles and 5568 beer cans worth millions of rupees. According to official sources the MSA and Pakistan Customs Anti-Smuggling had received a credible information that attempt would be made to smuggle huge quantity of liquor from Gulf States into Pakistan with venue of discharge being Western coast of Karachi.—Online
