Nation to get good news on outcome of MQM-PPP talks: Farooq
KARACHI—MQM deputy convener Dr Farooq Sattar has said the last three
sessions of dialogue between MQM and PPP have remained disappointing but
the latest two sessions have remained productive adding these talks will
soon yield their results and the nation will get good news soon.
He said this while talking to the journalists here Sunday after speaker
Sindh Assembly Nisar Khuru had condoled with him on the death of his
father.
May it be in government or in opposition, MQM wants to continue national
reconciliation process in the province, he held. Rural and urban divide
should be bridged under reconciliation process and peace should prevail
in the province for the uplift of people of the province, he added.
Replying to a question he said MQM had conveyed its concerns to the PPP
central leadership on withdrawal of powers by Sindh government from city
Nazim Karachi hoping PPP leadership will resolve this issue under
national reconciliation process.
Talks are underway with PPP in terms of national reconciliation and its
outcome will come out soon, he told.—Online
