Punjab sends three contract officers in Pindi District packing

RAWALPINDI—The government of Punjab has terminated the services of three contract Officers in District Rawalpindi sending them packing home and has made new appointments on their seats.
According to details, Deputy District Revenue (DDR), Qazi Naseer Ahmad, Deputy District Officer Murree, Amjad Saeed and Minister in-waiting Maqbool Chaudhry deputed in the City District government were offering their services in District Rawalpindi on contract basis.
However, new Punjab government has cancelled the contract period of these officers and appointed Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Potohar, Captain Adil as new DDR of District Rawalpindi by awarding him the additional duties.
Registrar District Office, Ray Manzoor Ahmad has been appointed as Deputy District Officer Murree.
While Minister in waiting deputed in the City District government, Maqbool Chaudhry who has obtained expansion of two years for four times in his contract period was still serving on contract basis has also been terminated and no new appointment has so far been made at this seat. However, Maqbool Chaudhry is busy in “trying for one more chance again”.
TMO Potohar Town, Khawaja Latif Ahmad has also been terminated from his office and Captain Adil (Lahore) has been appointed as new TMO Potohar Town. He was regarded as the right hand man of former provincial law minister Muhammad Basharat Raja. Punjab government has also transferred Executive District Officer Works and Services Khalid Imran Bhatti in Lahore without making new appointment at his seat.
