Water crisis erupts in twin cities

ISLAMABAD—People living in different areas of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad after being hit hard by energy and flour crises are now facing an acute water shortage.
The residents living in Dhok Hasu, Dhok Khabbah, Muslim Town, Adiyala, Central Saddar and several other areas in Rawalpindi while the residents of sectors I-8, I-9, I-10, G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10 and G-11 are worst hit by the water shortage.
The dwellers of above mentioned areas complained that they were not getting adequate water supply to cater to their needs. Water comes only in the morning and in the evening. People have to get water tanker to meet their need. They said they have registered several complaints before the authorities concerned in Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and Capital Development Authority (CDA) but to no avail. They demanded high level authorities concerned to take notice of the issue, as they can not bear more crisis, as flour and energy crises is underway.
