Tehmina hails joining hands of SAARC varsities

Islamabad—The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Mohtarama
Tehmina Daultana has said that bringing together of premier public and
private sector universities of South Asian Regional countries under one
research –oriented platform will go a long way in furthering fraternal
ties among regional states of SAARC and imparting quality research and
development in business and entrepreneurial world.
Ms. Tehmina Daultana expressed these remarks here today while
officiating the launching ceremony of the Regional south Asian Chapter
of the Academy for Global Business Advancements (AGBA); an initiative of
the department of Management Sciences COMSATS Institute of I.T.
Islamabad.
Commending CIIT for planning and executing this initiative of national
significance, she expected that it would promote understanding of broad
concepts in business and entrepreneurial studies. She said that such
initiatives would pave for transforming Pakistan’s agro – based economy
into a knowledge driven one as research and development (R&D) occupy a
crucial place and are a cornerstone of Pakistan’s strategy.
The South Asian Regional Chapter would promote research culture in
business and entrepreneurship, faster education, advance professional
knowledge and standards in various aspects of global business and global
entrepreneurship though international conferences and a worldwide
network of professionals committed to facilitate dissemination of
state-of- the art findings in business.
