208 new non-formal schools in RYK

KHANPUR—National Education Foundation has plans to open 208 new non-formal schools in the district Rahim Yar Khan to provide basic education to children at their doorsteps in the remote areas of the district. Deputy director Shahid Saleem said this while talking to journalists here on Monday. He said the number of basic education community schools is being enhanced to 82000 in the country and for this purpose National Education Foundation has expedited the work. “The Non-formal schools (NFEs) are being upgraded and re-named as Basic education community schools where teachers will get increased salaries with the cooperation of NGOs”, apprised the official.
