Sami calls on Nawaz

PESHAWAR—Chief of his own faction of JUI Senator Maulana Samiul Haq held an hour long meeting with former Premier Nawaz Sharif wherein scores of matters came under discussion including country’s prevailing political situation.
According to a spokesman of JUI (S), matters that were deliberated upon during the course of meeting included country’s external and internal situation, government’s proposed plan to hold talks with resistance forces, restoration of judges, price hike, measures for controlling law and order situation, missing persons, unemployment, energy crises and release of AQ Khan.
Maulana Samiul Haq told Nawaz Sharif that the ruling coalition partners PPP, ANP and PML (N) were strong enough to meet the challenges effectively. This troika, he said could take the country towards progress and prosperity.
Both the leaders agreed to continue talks process in the days to come for strengthening of democratic process.
