Govt to launch housing schemes in provinces soon: Kakar

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister fro Housing & Works, Rehmatullah Kakar called on Governor Balochistan, Nawab Zulifqar Ali Magsi in Quetta the other day and discussed with him construction of residential units out of one million housing units for Federal Government employees in the Province of Balochistan.
The Federal Minister informed the Governor that Ministry of Housing & Works, Govt of Pakistan will soon launch construction of residential units in the Province of Balochistan for low-income group of the Federal employees out of one million units under the directive of Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gillani. The Minister requested the Governor to provide facts and figures and location of Government-owned land for launching of the housing scheme in the province of Balochistan. Mr. Rehmat Ullaha Kakar also met Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani and Chief Secretary Nasir Khosa and briefed them about the location of land and launching of housing scheme in the province.
The Federal Minister said that the Governor, Chief Minister, and Chief Secretary Balochistan province assured him of their cooperation in this regard. Rehmatullah Kakar said that official letters have already been sent to the Governors, Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries of the four provinces to furnish facts and figures and location of government-owned land in their respective provinces to the Ministry of Housing and Works. The Minister thanked the the Governor, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary Balochistan for their cooperation.
