PIMS MLO caught red handed accepting bribe

ISLAMABAD—Post-mortem facilities at PIMS have fallen prey to graft.
A medico-legal of PIMS, Dr. Farrukh was arrested red handed on Friday while receiving his load full of Rs. 10,000/- from hapless victims, while hospital management, instead of taking action against the culprit were trying a cover-up of the issue.
As per details when the dead body of recently murdered Ammara Asif, w/o a renowned business tycoon was brought over to the hospital on Thursday night the relatives demanded that a post-mortem be performed on her. However Medico-legal of PIMS, DR Farrukh refused to perform post-mortem and said that since there is no lady doctor present at this time thus post-mortem cannot be performed.
The family members insisted on the same demand on Friday, however Dr Farrukh kept on repeating the same stance. However after repeated requests by one of relatives of the deceased, Mr. Sohail Iqbal, the said doctor agreed to perform post mortem after “fee payment of Rs. 10,000/-”, which were promptly paid; after which the doctor summoned a lady doctor who carried out postmortem.
After the postmortem, when the dead body was about to be taken out of hospital, the rest of hospital staff also insisted on their share of the booty. They were also paid an additional Rs. 500/-.
