Pakistan to
set up Pavilion in Defence Exhibition in Malaysia

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan is all set to setup a pavilion in the Defence
Services Asia 2008 (DSA) exhibition to be held in Kaula Lumpur
(Malaysia) from April 21-24. Pakistan defence industry will have one of
the biggest presence in the exhibition and would introduce wide variety
of defence products including infantry weapons, Personal Defense
Weapons, Artillery Ammunition, Tank and Anti-Tank Ammunition, Air Craft
& Anti Craft Ammunition, Hand Grenades, Small Arms Ammunition,
Pyrotechnics and Demolition Store and Propellants and Explosives.
DSA is the largest defence and security exhibition in the Asia Pacific
region. About 600 local and foreign companies from 40 countries
including Pakistan will to take part in DSA 2008 and will display
various modern technology including the latest defence and security
equipment and facilities.
It is hoped that over 25,000 visitors from more than 60 countries
responsible for technology acquisitions and development of the defence
industry and high level officers from the ministries of defence and
security throughout Asia will attend the exhibition.
Starting from the first event in 1988, DSA has expanded from being a
medium scale event, to create the record of being the most successful
international class exhibition in Asia Pacific.
DSA 2008 will provide a vehicle to Pakistan Defence Industry to forge
trade and bilateral collaboration with Malaysia and other countries of
Asian region and rest of the world.
For the first time DSA ‘08 will also introduce ‘Military Healthcare
Services, to bring in the technology and latest products from suppliers
to users in areas such as Military Infectious Diseases, Tactical
Casualty Care, Military Operational Medicine - Nutritional and
Occupational Medicine, CBRN - Chemical, Biological, Radiological &
Nuclear and Telemedicine & Medical Logistic due to ever increasing
commitment of the army to humanitarian, emergency assistance and
disaster relief operations.
The national groups which have already confirmed their participation are
Pakistan ,Australia, United States, Brazil, Bosnia, Czech Republic,
China, India, Iran, France, German, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden,
United Kingdom, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Korea and Ukraine. DSA 2008,
is all set to be a successful defence and security event. |
