Chinese envoy hails successful Olympic Torch Relay

ISLAMABAD—The Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan Luo Zhaohui on Friday underlined that some elements are trying to damage Pak-China relations.
China is hopeful for further expanding ties with Pakistan as it is a brotherly and peaceful country, Luo Zhaohui expressed these views during a Press Conference along with President Pakistan Olympic Association Lt General retired Syed Arif Hassan in Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday.
Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui congratulated Pakistan for successfully holding the Torch Rally on April 16 in a befitting manner. Replying to a question, Luo Zhaohui said that International Olympic Committee had some reservations regarding Security in Pakistan, however China refused its proposal regarding cancellation of the prestigious Torch Rally.
We are very proud of Pak-China friendship adding that no power can damage our relations, he reiterated. Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui said that we are extremely delighted that President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were present in the ceremony. Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui further added that China will keep on supporting Pakistan in promotion and development of sports. Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui also highly-acclaimed the role of Media on splendid holding/coverage of Torch Rally.
