Arbab, Mirza throw down gauntlets

KARACHI—Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza Wednesday said that he will get a FIR registered against former Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, if he could not prove his allegation against him.
He made these remarks when a questioner referred to Dr Arbab’s press conference today in which he alleged that a conspiracy has been hatched to murder him and if case this happens, a FIR be registered against Zulfikar Mirza. The Home Minister, commenting on this allegation said that Dr Arbab was not talking healthy. He said that either he should prove the conspiracy plan, or else he would get a FIR registered against him.
Former chief minister of Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim has alleged Sindh government has hired professional killers to kill him and has warned FIR will be lodged against Asif Ali Zardari and interior minister Sindh Zulfiqar Mirza if any harm is caused to him or any member of his family. He said this in a hurriedly called press conference in Muslim League House here Wednesday. Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, Akram Masih Gill and barrister Ahmad Raza Kasuri also accompanied him. Arbab Ghulam Rahim said his party had supported prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in vote of confidence move for the sake of national reconciliation.
