to succeed: deposed CJ

KARACHI—Deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad
Chaudhary has said that the law will make its way on its own, adding
that, the movement of legal fraternity is in final stage and would be
succeeded. The day is not sofar when there would be rule of law and
constitution in the country, he said this while addressing Malir Bar via
telephone on Tuesday.
“The movement of legal fraternity was aimed for supremacy of law and
constitution. Law will make its way on its own. Inshaallah the movement
of lawyers would be succeeded”, the deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan
added. The sacrifices rendered by lawyers during the ongoing movement
would not go waste, he said, adding that, there would be rule of law and
constitution in the country soon.
Deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary asked lawyers to reorganize
their movement may be we have to take it (movement) further. The lawyers
should end their hunger strike camp and demonstrate tolerance and
patience, he maintained. He asked lawyers to avoid taking extreme steps,
as the movement is in final stage. Strongly condemning the incidents of
April 09 in Karachi, Iftikhar Chaudhary paid great tribute to those
lawyers who were brunt alive, besides expressing his heartfelt
condolence with their families. He also condemned burning of office of
Karachi Malir Bar. Earlier, President Karachi Bar Mehmood-ul-Hassan
speaking on the occasion demanded Government to compensate families of
those lawyers who were brunt alive in Karachi. |
