Mehmood Durrani picked as advisor to PM

ISLAMABAD—President Pervez Musharraf has appointed Mehmood Ali Durrani, former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, as Advisor to the Prime Minister on National Security Affairs.
Federal Minister for Anti-Narcotics Nazar Muhammad Gondal has been given the additional charge of the ministry of Women Developments.
The notification of the appointment of Mehmood Ali Durrani issued from the Cabinet Division said that President Musharraf appointed him (Durrani) on the recommendation of Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.
The status of Mehmood Ali Durrani would be equal to the federal minister, the notification added.
Another change has been made in the federal cabinet by giving the additional charge of the ministry of women developments to Federal Minister for Anti-Narcotics, Nazar Muhammad Gondal.
It is noted that additional charge of several key departments have been given to some ministers of the coalition government.
