New education policy to be implemented with consensus, says Ahsan

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday underlined that new Education Policy will be in par with the cultural traditions of the country and will be implemented with mutual consensus of all the provinces.
Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal expressed these views while explaining his policy to officials of Ministry of Education in National Library on Tuesday.
He was of the view that the need of the hour is to give special attention to Education sector. He stressed the need for revolutionary changes in the education sector adding that he will announce the new Education Policy within few days.
Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal urged the need to work on modern lines as Public Sector in Pakistan has failed to produce productive results.
Time has come to implement our policies rather than formulating policies on sheer papers, Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal held.
Federal Minister for Education Ahsan Iqbal further said that he has got the support of all the political parties regarding new Education Policy.
He said that equal opportunities of education will be provided to the rich and the poor segments of the society. He slammed previous Government for wasting funds instead of utilising in Education sector.
