Teachers Union to start protests from 24th

RAWALPINDI—Punjab Teacher Union District Rawalpindi has announced to start protest movement from April 24 against non promotion of teachers and putting recoveries amounting to thousand of rupees on teachers in pretext of audit.
District President of Union Dr. Chaudhary Saghir Aleem told that the teacher community is living in very deteriorated condition, as English teachers are not being promoted and privileges package announced by Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervez Elahi has still not been implemented. The educational and other allowances are being given to teachers, he said, adding that, the meeting of teachers has been convened on April 24 in Islamia High Secondary School Muree Road from where protest movement would be started. He demanded to start new educational year from April.
