Olympic Torch relay arrives today

ISLAMABAD—President Pakistan Olympic Association Lt General retired Arif Hasan underlined that today (Wednesday) is a historical day for the entire nation as the Olympic torch relay arrives in Islamabad, the first stop in the Asian leg of its World Tour.
While talking exclusively to Online on Tuesday on the occasion of full dress rehearsal of torch relay in Liaqat Gymnasium, President Pakistan Olympic Association Lt General retired Arif Hasan said that the entire Pakistan nation has glued its eyes on the simple but dignified on Wednesday (today) amid security arrangements in Islamabad. He said that Pakistan has taken all security measures to ensure the Torch Relay’s visit to Islamabad passed without trouble.
He said that we support our long and dear friend China adding our prayers and well wishes are with China regarding forthcoming Beijing Olympics. Replying to a question, Arif said that the theme of the August 8-24 Beijing Olympics is harmony and peace among nations hoping that these goals will be achieved.
