Countdown on Judges issue started: Kurd

RAWALPINDI—Former Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Ali Ahmed Kurd on Monday underlined that no compromise shall be made on Murree declaration emphasising that Countdown on Restoration of Judges has started from March 31.
He expressed these views while addressing in a meeting of Rawalpindi District Bar Association on Monday.
Kurd was of the view that their Movement would continue till achievement of desired goals. There is no terrorists in Lawyers Fraternity, Kurd held.
He said only due to gigantic efforts of Chaudhry Aitizaz, Sher Afgan Niazi was saved from culprits of humanity, few days back.
He made it clear that Lawyers would not accept any amendment to the Constitution made by President Musharraf after proclamation of Emergency on November 3, last year.
Some anti social elements wants to sabotage Murree Declaration, he pointed.
Former Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Ali Ahmed Kurd further added that people who are trying to involve Lawyers to fulfil their nefarious designs have to face dire consequences.
