Bye-polls to
38 NA, PAs seats on June 3
ISLAMABAD—Bye-elections will be held in 38 National and Provincial
Assemblies constituencies on June 3, said Chief Election Commissioner
Justice (Retd) Qazi Mohammad Farooq here on Monday. Announcing election
schedule he said that nomination papers will be submitted from April 15
to 21 while scrutiny of the papers will be held from April 22 to 28.
He said appeals against nomination papers can be submitted till May 2
and decision about acceptance or rejection of the papers will be
announced till May 9. He said that last date for submission of
nomination papers is May 10 while review list of candidates will be
displayed on May 11 and polling will be held on June 3.
Justice (Retd) Qazi Mohammad Farooq said that elections would be held in
eight National Assembly constituencies and 32 Provincial Assemblies
constituencies. Out of the eight National Assembly constituencies fresh
polling will he held in two constituencies i.e of Mohtarma Benazir
Bhutto and Tariq Bandey and bye-election in six constituencies.—Agencies
