Rohi express collides

JHANG—Khaniwal-Rawalpindi Rohi Express collided with an unguarded railway crossing at Jhang-Faisalabad Road on Sunday. Rohi Express was crashed with a trailer at an open railway crossing, eyewitnesses said. The trailer sliced into two in collision and also hit a passing by car however; people in the car remained unhurt. Five compartments of the train were separated, the front portion of the engine was damaged and engine driver was trapped and seriously injured. Police and relief teams reached the spot late and the driver trapped in the engine was taken out of the engine with the help of local volunteers and sent to the district headquarters hospital.—Online
