‘Following traffic rules reduces accidents’

RAWALPINDI—SP Traffic Rawalpindi Malik Matloob Ahmed Awan has emphasised that the following the traffic rules is vital for reduction in the traffic accidents.
SP Traffic Malik Matloob in a statement said that Rawalpindi traffic police has started a campaign to create awareness among the citizens about the traffic laws.
He underlined that the traffic campaign has different stages and at present the citizens are being informed about the importance of line lane and the traffic police directing the commuters to follow traffic line lane.
SP Traffic Malik Matloob Ahmed Awan has said that line lane reserved for every vehicles, adding that the motor cyclists should drive on the left side of the road. The wrong overtaking increases the chances of traffic accidents, he added.
The police officials deployed on Murree Road, Mall Road, Peshawar Road and in the different roads of the Cantt are monitoring the situation and asking the commuters to park their vehicle behind the stop line.—Agencies
