Spring
festival concludes at F-9 park

ISLAMABAD—The two-day spring festival concluded here Sunday at the Mega
Zone of F-9 park which was held to welcome the season in the capital
with a variety of colourful items.
The exhibition included exquisite handmade items, garments, antique art
and crafts, handicrafts, interior decors, jewellery and others. The
females from various industrial homes offered a variety of items on
discounted rates to provide shopping environment for attracting the
customers of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
General Manager, Mega Zone, Ehsan Abbassi while talking to newsmen said
that these events provide an opportunity for women to boost their
business and generate a source of income through their handmade
products. Special eye-catching jewellery stalls were arranged featuring
a variety of designs and colours with gem stones on discounted rates.
"Jewellery in all forms provides confidence to women by enhancing their
innate beauty and also express their individuality with style," said a
female student Uzma Ali while visiting the stall.
"Women consider jewellery as a most important part of their appearance
and such exhibitions provide them an opportunity to find perfect
extravagant accessories," she remarked.
However, the female visitors focussed on fabric stalls which include
embroidered fabrics, casual and formal trendy wear, traditional patterns
studded with beads and precious stones which are in vogue these days. |
