Pak, South Africa have cordial relations, says NA Speaker

ISLAMABAD—The Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza has said that relations between Pakistan and South Africa were cordial and both the countries have unanimity of views and share perceptions on regional and global issues.
She said this while talking to Daniel Jabulani Mavimbela the ambassador of South Africa, who called on the speaker in the Parliament House.
The speaker said that there existed enormous goodwill between the people of the two countries that needed to be cemented and institutionalized through enhanced interaction between parliamentarians, political groups, businessmen and intellectuals of the two countries.
The speaker said that there are many commonalities between the two countries and she also said that there is scope for cooperation in various sectors of the economies of the two countries.
The Ambassador of South Africa Daniel Jabulani Mavimbela said that his country attaches high values to its relations with Pakistan and the South African people and media expressed tremendous jubilations over the election in Pakistan and the election of the lady speaker.He congratulated Madam Speaker on her election as speaker National Assembly. The Speaker appreciated and thanked South African Government for its support to the cause of democracy in Pakistan and the world over.
