DDWP approves 19 schemes worth Rs626.386m

ISLAMABAD—A meeting of Departmental Development Working Party (DDWP) of Federal Board of Revenue, held Monday under the chairmanship of Member (Administration), Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Yasin, approved 19 schemes with a total cost of Rs. 626.386 million
Representatives of the Reformed Units from all the provinces alongwith officers from Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance and Pak. PWD attended the meeting. Purpose of the meeting was to approve various projects related to the offices and residential accommodation of the officers and staff of FBR as a step forward towards 05 Years Infrastructure Development Plan of the Admn Wing of FBR HQ.
19 schemes, approved today with a total cost of Rs. 626.386 million were very vital in view of the ongoing Tax Administration Reforms of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
FBR has nevertheless established Project Monitoring & Evaluation Cell (PM & EC) which regularly monitors physical and financial progress of its projects. PM & EC also evaluates cost of each developmental scheme in coordination with Pak. PWD so that the projects are approved at a minimum cost and completed without cost and time over run.
