Land dispute claims 5 lives

JACOBABAD—Five people including three children of same family were gunned down while two other children received serious bullet injuries here in jurisdiction of Miran Purr Police Station on Sunday. According to details, some armed people belong to Mirani tribe stormed into house of Ghulab Khan Talal and started indiscriminate firing, killing him (Talal), his spouse and three children on spot. The accused fled away after killing five people of the same family. The bone contention behind the killing was said to be land dispute. Two children who were wounded in the incident have been shifted to local hospital for immediate medical treatment. Police have registered a case and started the investigation.—Agencies
