APCA demands upgradation

PESHAWAR—APCA has voiced concern over miserable plight of lower grade employees saying scales of all other employees have been upgraded but the exploitation of grade 1-5 employees is still continuing. This was said in a report released here by central office of APCA. The total strength of clerks is over 1100000 all over the country while the No of employees working in grade 1 to 4 is 700000. At the time of partition Naib Qasid was placed in scale No 1, junior clerk in scale No 5, senior clerk in 7 and assistant in scale No 11.Stenographer was given pay scale 6. Later President General Zia ul Haq granted scale No 8 to stenographer. President Ghulam Ishaq Khan upgraded the post in pay scale No 12. Steno typist who is in pay scale 11 is working under assistant. Constable was upgraded from pay scale 1 to pay scale No 5 and nurses were upgraded form pay scale 6 to pay scale No 16. Teachers working in pay scale No 9 have been upgraded to pay scale No 16.
