Afridi environment destroyed building ministry’s

Islamabad—The Minister for Environment Mr. Hamedullah Jan Afridi on Thursday directed the Chairman CDA to revise the estimates of the expenditure and submit the report with in three days so that repair and renovation work on the building of Environment Ministry could be started soon.
These instruction ware issued to the Chairman CDA during a visit to Old Building of the Environment Ministry located at CDA Block-4 Civic Center Near Lal Musjid. The said building was badly damaged on july,3rd 2007 during Lal Musjid crises.
The Minister also directed the Pakistan Environmental Planning and Architecture Consultants (PEPAC) to prepare their own estimates for the repair and renovation work in the same time. He said that the decision would be taken on the report of the revised estimates from both sides.
The Minister on arrival was received by the Chairman CDA Kamran Lashari and other Senior Officers of the CDA. The Minister was briefed about the plan to repair the said building. The Minister was told that the repair work will take 6 month to enable it for accommodation. The Minister, however, directed the authorities of CDA to complete the building with in 3 month.
