Jamia Hafsa should be reconstructed within one year: Khawaja
By Mona Khan

ISLAMABAD—The chairman of Defense of human rights, Khalid Khawaja has demanded reconstruction of Jamia Hafsa within one year period as stipulated by the decision of the Supreme Court.
Addressing the press conference at the Islamabad press club alongside Najam Abdul Rashid Ghazi, Umm-e-Jamila, students of Jamia Hafsa and khateeb of Lal Masjid, he also announced filing FIR against President Musharraf and all those responsible for the Lal Majid carnage.
He also strongly rejected the notion that suicide bombing spree had anything to do with Lal Masjid and also expressed his reservations over silent indifference of "otherwise quiet vocal" Mian Nawaz sharif over operations against seminaries and religious institutions in Pakistan.
Khawaja Khalid also blamed the ministers as being equally responsible for violations of human rights, and innocent victims are abducted and often tortured to death.
He also vowed to file FIRs against those responsible for affecting false indictments against him and others, citing the widow of Ghazi Abdul Rashid who would also file FIR against the murder of her husband.
He demanded that all the prime suspects and allegedly involved in Lal Masjid operation should be put on ECL (Exit Control List).
He also informed that the Supreme Court had given an order on 01 Oct 2007
That those found guilty of desecration of The Holy Quran and responsible for death of many innocents would be indicted.
