Restoration of judges according to satisfaction of all parties: Naik
ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Law and Justice Farooq H Naik Wednesday
said that the matter of restoration of judges would be done according to
the satisfaction of all the parties.
Speaking in a prival channel program he said as far as apprehensions
expressed by some judges were concerned, they should trust the new
parliament.
He said since the parliament is a supreme body, any expression of doubt
on its future conduct might be regarded as an act of employing outside
pressure on its functioning.
Farooq Naik said, “since we are set to settle this matter according to
the democratic norms and since the proposals of the rest of the parties
of the ruling alliance were yet to be ascertained, it would not be
proper on my part to give my own opinion in this regard”.
“The only thing that I could reassure was that we were bound to honour
the Murree Declaration and we would resolve this issue to the
satisfaction of all the parties involved.—Agencies |
