Pindi police starts video recording of all passenger vehicles entering twin-cities

RAWALPINDI—Rawalpindi Police has started monitoring through video cameras of all the passenger buses and other vehicles entering twin cities from the other provinces especially NWFP after the information of entry of alleged suicide bomber in Punjab including Rawalpindi.
SSP Operation, Yasin Farooq while talking to journalists here in the Cantt Police Station on Wednesday, said that film record of these passenger busses including their number plate will be kept in record for the period of one and half month.
He further said that personnel of elite force and ladies police have so far searched more than 13000 houses in cant area. They have also warned the property dealers and owners of the houses to inform police before to give any house on rent.
He further directed them to collect all the necessary and complete credentials about the tenants. While talking about the suicide attack on Surgeon Gen. Of Pakistan Army (Rawalpindi), Mushtaq Baig he said that investigation team is probing into the incident.
In response to a question, SSP Operation has said that crime graph has reduced enormously in result of the search operation.
While talking about the investigation in connection with the assassination of Benazir Bhutto he said that a high-level joint investigation team is carrying out investigation. And the team is responsible for arresting Baitullah Mehsood and his other comrades.
