NA Speaker to lead delegation at IPU Assembly on 10th

ISLAMABAD—Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza is leaving for Cape Town, Capital of South Africa on April 10 to formally participate in 118th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.
NA Sources told Online that Speaker National Assembly will be representing 7-Member delegation from Pakistan in the all-important Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly on April 10. This will be Speaker's first visit outside Pakistan after assuming office, last month. The high-profile event will take place in the city of Cape Town from April 11. The Pakistan delegation will come back on April 19 after conclusion of the118th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.
The Pakistan delegation includes Azeem Daultana, Miss Farah Naz Safhani, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Bushra Gohar and Khawaja Mehmood respectively. The mega event is likely to bring together over 120 delegates including some 600 legislators and a record 50 speakers of Parliament from National Parliaments around the world.
NA Sources further added that Dr Fehmida Mirza is likely to address one of the sessions of the IPU Assembly.
