 Scattered thunderstorm, rain forecast

LAHORE—The local meteorological department on Wednesday forecast scattered dust and thunderstorm and rain for provincial metropolis during next 24 hours. According to synoptic situation, a strong westerly system has approached up to the areas of NWFP and this system is likely to persist for next three to four days over the country. Weather pundits predicted that this weather pattern is likely to cause widespread dust-thunderstorm and rain in divisions of Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and scattered dust-thunderstorm rain in Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan, Lahore, and Faisalabad divisions during next 24 hours. The city temperature recorded at maximum 30.3 and minimum at 16 degree celsius, while relative humidity remained at 52 percent in the morning at 8:00 am and 33 percent in the evening at 5:00 pm. In other Punjab areas, maximum temperature recorded at D.G.Khan 30.3 degree celsius, Jhelum 36.5, Bahawalpur 32.5, Khanpur 34.8, Sialkot 17.5, Multan 34, Sargodha 29.5, Okara 32, Murree 10.5, Faisalabad 30.5, Sahiwal 32.1, Mandi Bahauddin 26.8 and Mianwali 30.5.
