Maj Gen Asif new MI Chief

RAWALPINDI—Chief Of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has appointed Director Military Intelligence Maj Gen Ejaz Nadeem as GOC Bahawalpur.
As per Director General ISPR, Maj Gen Athar Abbasi, MI Director Maj Gen Ejaz Nadeem has been transferred and Maj Gen Muhammad Asif has been appointed new director in his place. He has taken over charge of his office.
This is routine transfer and no other transfer is likely on Wednesday, DG ISPR told. Major General Nadeem Ejaz Director General, Military Intelligence has been posted as General Officer Commanding Bahawalpur. Director General ISPR, Major General Athar Abbas confirming the news on Wednesday told APP that Major General Muhammad Asif has been posted as Director General Military Intelligence.—Agencies
