MQM to contest for Speaker, Dy Speaker in Sindh

ISLAMABAD—Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Tuesday decided to contest the election for the posts of Sindh Chief Minister, Speaker and Deputy Speaker and the names of candidates for the same will be announced in the next 24 hours. Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Ali Zardari had announced to include MQM in the Sindh government after Altaf Hussain committed unconditional support to PPP during a telephonic conversation with Zardari. Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain Tuesday demanded the constitution of an International Inquiry Commission for probe into the May 12 incident, December 27 loot and plunder events and June 19 operation against MQM.
According to Geo News he said his party reacted very positively, so that the national reconciliation may have its due course; but, MQM is being treated with cold shoulder. Altaf Hussain said his party does not believes in the confrontation; however, if someone thinks that MQM may be thrown into the Arabian Sea, he lives in fool’s paradise.
