ISLAMABAD—Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Tuesday decided to contest the
election for the posts of Sindh Chief Minister, Speaker and Deputy
Speaker and the names of candidates for the same will be announced in
the next 24 hours. Co-chairman Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Ali Zardari
had announced to include MQM in the Sindh government after Altaf Hussain
committed unconditional support to PPP during a telephonic conversation
with Zardari. Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain Tuesday
demanded the constitution of an International Inquiry Commission for
probe into the May 12 incident, December 27 loot and plunder events and
June 19 operation against MQM.
According to Geo News he said his party reacted very positively, so that
the national reconciliation may have its due course; but, MQM is being
treated with cold shoulder. Altaf Hussain said his party does not
believes in the confrontation; however, if someone thinks that MQM may
be thrown into the Arabian Sea, he lives in fool’s paradise. |
