5 Army Officers recalled from NAB

RAWALPINDI—A Spokesman of ISPR has announced that five Major Generals have been asked to relinquish their charge by 15th April and report to their respective assignments/place of duty in the Army.
Those who have been issued reminder include, Major General Aftab Ahmed, DG HQ NAB, Major General Muhammad Siddiqui, Deputy Chairman NAB, Major General Imtiaz Ahmed, Chairman National Highway Authority, Major General Nasir Mahmood, DG NAB Punjab and Major General Shahid Ahmad Hashmat, DG NAB Balochistan. Posting of Major General Mukhtar Ahmed, DG NAB Sindh, has already been issued, the Spokesman concluded.
Former provincial minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq was acquitted by National Accountability Court on Monday in two separate NAB references regarding plots. National Accountability Court held that contention of defense counsel Shahadate Awan that there was no criminal intention on the part of the accused and he was entitled to acquittal carried sufficient weight.
