Qamar indicates to reprioritize privatisation

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister Syed Naveed Qamar emphasized to reprioritize and push further the Privatisation Program while making it more popular among the people by transferring the benefits of privatisation to the common man, which could not be done earlier.
After taking oath as Federal Minister Syed Naveed Qamar visited the Ministry of Privatisation & Investment here on Monday. Syed Naveed Qamar has been assigned the portfolio of Ministries of Privatisation & Investment and Ports & Shipping.
While addressing the introductory meeting of Officers and the Transaction Managers of the Privatisation Commission, Syed Naveed Qamar emphasized to reprioritize and push further the Privatisation Program while making it more popular among the people by transferring the benefits of privatisation to the common man, which could not be done earlier. The Minister said that the privatisation process was always open to criticism, therefore, the process should be kept very open, fair and most transparent at all phases.
Earlier, Mr. Ahmed Jawad Secretary Ministry of Privatisation & Investment welcomed the Minister and briefly highlighted the functioning of the Privatisation Commission. The Minister was formally introduced with the officers and Transaction Managers of the PC. A detailed briefing regarding the privatisation program, process and status of various ongoing transactions will be made before the Minister on Tuesday. Later, the Minister visited the Ministry of Ports and Shipping and held introductory meeting with the officers of the Ministry.
