Arrangements reviewed for ZAB death anniversary
LARKANA—Inspector General of Police Sindh, Athar Ali Farooqi Sunday
visited Ghari Khudda Bux and reviewed the security arrangements ahead of
the observation of the 29th Death Anniversary of founder of PPP and
former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The
security arrangements has been taken in view of the visit of large
number of people including renowned political figures who come to Gharri
Khudda Bux on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali
Bhutto. IG Police Sindh, Athar Farooqi said that more than 5000
additional security personnel will also be deployed on the occasion to
avoid any unpleasant incident. These additional personnel will be
deployed at all the routes and sensitive places. Close circuit cameras
will also be installed in the central ceremony of the anniversary to
keep close eye on activities of the people, he added. Athar Farooqi said
that walk through gate will be installed while plan clothes personnel
will be deployed at the venue of ceremony. Police personnel will also be
equipped with jam mar. Two control rooms will also be set in Ghari Bux
while an officer of DSP level will be appointed to facilitate media men,
he said by adding that PPP has also assured to provide its 1000
volunteers. DIG Larkana, Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti has been appointed as
Incharge of the security arrangements while he himself monitor the
security arrangements. A large number of female police personnel will
also be appointed in the Naudero and Ghari Khudda Bux who will be
equipped with latest weapons and wireless sets. —Agencies
