PIDE to introduce two more faculties
ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Institute of Development Economics is all set to
introduce two more faculties of Environmental Economics and Health
Economics in the institute.
“PIDE would be strengthened to make it one of the leading research
institutes of the world by introducing new subjects and strengthening
its capacity,” PIDE Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rashid Amjad told. He said that
the institute has already acquired position among top ten institutions
of Asia. Dr. Amjad said that PIDE management has already started formal
programme of teaching Ph.D, M.Phil and MBA programmes to facilitate
knowledge seekers get quality and standard education. He said that
Central Development Party (CDWP) had also approved aproject at a cost of
Rs.200 million to PIDE for strengthening teaching and research
facilities.
The VC PIDE said that under the programme foreign visiting professors
would be hired to deliver lectures to the students and also share their
knowledge and expertise with the faculty members of the institute.
