welcome Govt talks offer
KHAR (Bajaur Agency) —Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has welcomed Prime
Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani announcement for repeal of FCR from tribal
areas and persuasion of dialogue process with Taliban. TTP spokesman
Moulvi Omar was talking to the journalists by telephone from unknown
destination.
“We welcome announcement for repeal of FCR from tribal areas. The
government should immediately announce for enforcement of Islamic system
in the tribal areas “, he underlined.
Appreciating government announcement for initiating dialogue process
with TTP to improve law and order situation, he said TTP would give
positive response to government announcement. Dialogue announcement made
by the government would leave positive impact on law and order
situation, he hoped.
The government in place at center should discontinue forthwith the
ongoing war for the sake of US interests in the country besides saying
good-bye to the Pro-US policies, he stressed. He hoped new government
would not repeat the wrong policies of previous government and author
foreign policy in the national interest.
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said the army should return
to barracks, militants should come forward for talks and the Kashmir
issue should be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiris.
Announcing his priorities in a policy speech after getting vote of
confidence from the National Assembly here on Saturday, the Prime
Minister has said that war on terror is our own war and urging the
extremists to surrender and indulge in the dialogue process said that
the elimination of the menace of terrorism from the country is our
utmost priority. Prime Minister Gilani thanked the allied parties and
all the sides in the house that reposed their confidence in him.
“I am also thankful to Quaid Pakistan Muslim (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif,
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto, Co-Chairman PPP
Asif Ali Zardari, Head Aawi National Party (ANP) Asfand Yar Wali, Quaid
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain, Pir Pagara, Munir Khan and
Orakzai”, he said.
Yousaf Raza Gilani paid great tribute to Quaid-e-Awan Zulfiqar Ali
Bhutto and late Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto who sacrificed
their lives for the cause of democracy.
Also Paying tribute to founder of Pakistan Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah who clinched the country through constitutional way, the Prime
Minister vowed to take all parties alongwith him.
The Prime Minister said his priority would be to create new jobs and
increase power capacity as part of measures designed to provide relief
to the people. “We are aware that the nation is facing serious
challenges on the security and economic fronts, but we are confident
that we will meet these challenges,’’ Gilani told the Parliament.
“We are in favour of peace, independence and development. The country
cannot be stronger until the enhancement of the institutions and
departments”, he said. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani called the
militants to shun the path of violence, as lot of innocent people lost
