CDA announces honourarium for traffic police

ISLAMABAD—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced honourarium of Rs. 5000 and 2000 for traffic police officers and officials respectively, who were controlling heavy traffic flow at “Peshawar Mor’ G-9 junction around the clock.
Chairman CDA Mr. Kamran Lashari has announced this while presiding over a meeting here on Friday. He told meeting members that honourarium would be paid to them after the approval of CDA board. Lashari paid rich tribute to those traffic police officers and officials, who were controlling heavy flow of traffic at Peshawar ‘Mor’ Junction around the clock. Chairman said that newly constructed avenues in the federal capital have eased the congested traffic with the help of traffic police administration, which has made the smooth flow of traffic.
He said that due to the expansion and widening of Peshawar Mor Square the mammoth traffic on 9th Avenue flowing ease now. He added that traffic police officials have showed excellent job for maintaining the smoothness of traffic flow.
“It’s a matter of great joy and satisfaction both for Capital Development Authority and Islamabad Traffic Police’ he acknowledged. “I am very thankful to traffic police and the contractors, who work really hard to provide hassle free roads” he added. Chairman reiterated that authority has already prepared a plan for widening of Kashmir Highway and signal free Faisal Avenue. He said that the square expanding work of 9th Avenues at I.J Principal would be started soon. He confirmed that the much delay work of Zero Point Interchange and expansion of roads network would be initiated soon.
He said that after the expansion and widening of Peshawar ‘Mor Square, it will be handed over to Environment Wing of CDA for beautification with flowers and tree plantation. He said that 9th avenue is the most important avenue of the Federal capital connected with 17 different roads, which causes crowded traffic.
On this occasion, SSP Traffic Police thanked CDA for easing the overburden traffic in Islamabad. He stressed upon the coordination of traffic police and added that his department may be included for consultation before the initiation of such plans. Member Engineering Mr. Moeen-ud-Din Kaka Khel, D.G (Works) Mr. Abdul Jabbar Molano, SSP Traffic Police and other high officials attended the meeting.
