Newly constructed avenues ease traffic congestion

ISLAMABAD—Newly constructed avenues have eased traffic congestion and ensured smooth flow of traffic in the capital with the help of traffic police.
This was stated by the Chairman CDA Karmran Lashari while presiding over a meeting here on Friday. He said that expansion and widening of Peshawar Mor square, has helped in smooth traffic movement on 9th Avenue.
He hailed the performance and cooperation of the traffic police for ensuring free vehicular flow on various roads.
“It is a matter of joy and great satisfaction for the institution to facilitate people with public welfare projects.” He said that CDA has already planned the widening of Kashmir Highway , signal-free Faisal Avenue, square on 9th Avenue at I.J Principal Road , adding work on Zero Point interchange will start soon.
He said that after completion of work at Peshawar Mor Square, it will be handed over to the Environment Wing of CDA for beautification and tree plantation. On this occasion, SSP Traffic Police thanked CDA for facilitating the traffic police by widening and expanding important roads and avenues of the capital. The meeting was also attended by Member Engineering Moeen-ud-Din Kakakhel, D.G Works Abdul Jabbar,SSP Traffic Police and other high officials.
