LPG price cut to Rs 53.50 per kilo

KARACHI—LPG marketing companies have again reduced prices of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs 1.5 to Rs 53.50 a kilogramme and 11.8 kilogramme domestic cylinder by Rs 15 to Rs 565. This is the second fall in the price of LPG in the last five days. Marketing companies had earlier slashed LPG price by Rs 1.5 per kilo on March 24. According to chairman of LPG Distributors Association Hadi Khan here Monday, LPG marketing companies have reduced prices in a bid to increase the sale of LPG. He pointed out that price of 45.4 kg cylinder has been decreased by Rs 60 to Rs 2,160 in the city. Hadi noted that the sale of LPG has declined by 60 percent in the last three weeks, mostly because of smuggling of LPG from Iran.—Online
