Mehfil-e-Milad at Women Welfare & Development Centre

ISLAMABAD—The auspicious event of Mehfil-e-Milad as a part of Eid Miladun-Nabi celebrations was held at Women Welfare and Development Centre hereThursday. The Mehfil-e-Milad was started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by Darood Sharif. A group of participants presented Hymns (Hamad) that was preceded by Naat Sharif.
A number of students including Rizwana,Adeela, Sadia and Rabia presented Naat, which claimed applause from the audience. Another impressive Naat presented by Sanam, which softened the heart of the audience.
The guests including Mrs. Ashraf Ali Khan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare and Special Education, Mrs Shaukat Nawaz and others attend the function and get enlightened.
The function came to an end with special prayers for the country’s prosperity and the Ummah.
Mrs. Ismat Afridi, Assistant Director, Women Welfare and Development Centre expressed her views on the occasion.
She said that success lies only in following teaching of Islam. “On this day we remind ourselves of the unaccountable blessings, kindness and love which the Muslim Ummah got from Holy Prophet Peace Be Upon Him andthank Allah Almighty for making us Ummati of His Great Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him)”, she said.
Holding Mehfil-e-Milad, she said, in the month of Rabiul Awwal is the annual feature of the Centre. She said the month of Rabiul-Awwal brings with it greatblessings for Muslims. It is the month in which Allah Almighty sent His most beloved and the most praised Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) to this world to guide humanity towards ultimate truth.
