Isolated duststorm, rain forecast

ISLAMABAD—Meteorological Department forecast isolated dust thunderstorm and rain in Kashmir, Northern Areas during the next 36 hours. An official of Met office told that isolated dust thunderstorm is also expected in Upper Punjab Wednesday night. While dry weather is expected during rest of the week. According to meteorological analysis, a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and is likely to persist over Kashmir and adjoining areas partially till March 28. In Upper NWFP, isolated dust thunderstorm may occur tonight. However, dry weather is expected in Balochistan and Sindh during next week. The maximum temperature recorded in main cities was Islamabad 29, Lahore 33, Karachi 38, Peshawar 30, Quetta 26, Muzaffarabad 24 (C) while the maximum temperature was recorded 40 (C) in Nawabshah, Chor, Hyderabad. —Agencies
